Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle company, one of the brands owned by Piaggio. Having started as a manufacturer of bicycles it moved on to manufacture scooters and small-capacity motorcycles. The company was founded immediately after World War II by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio, initially as a bicycle production factory in Noale, Italy, in the province of Venice. The first production Aprilia mopeds were named Colibrì, Daniela, and Packi.
Over the years, Aprilia has produced many popular models and has been involved in the world of motorcycle racing. This involvement has brought a number of championships in various categories, including the 125cc and 250cc World Championship. The brand is known for its sporty character and advanced technology and is considered one of the top motorcycle manufacturers in Europe.
